Confluent Motion with Bill Gilliam, Contemporary Jazz
Josh Grossman, the TD Toronto Jazz Festival 2017 artistic director described our music as: “While their exploration of free improvisation is impressive, what hooked me was the composing – their interesting melodies always create a home base from which the soloing departs and, ultimately, returns”.

Bill Gilliam is a composer / jazz pianist in his new quartet “Confluent Motion” with Kayla Milmine (soprano sax) and Rob Clutton (bass) and Joe Sorbara (drums). He has released a number of albums and performed in the TD Toronto Jazz Festival, the Something Else! Festival in Hamilton, the Open Ears Festival in Kitchener and Ontario Place Summer Live Music Festival in Toronto. Bill has recorded and performed in many clubs and venues in Ontario and Montreal with jazz musicians including Kayla Milmine (soprano sax), Ambrose Pottie (drums), Bill McBirnie (flute), Glen Hall (woodwinds), Joe Sorbara (drums), Ernie Tollar (saxes), Kevin Turcotte (trumpet), Duncan Hopkins (bass), Ben Riley (drums), Lina Allemano (trumpet), Dave Young (bass), Howard Gaul (drums) and many others.
