Ska-Punk Supergroup Mutiny, Featuring Members of Voodoo Glow Skulls and Death By Stereo, Unveils Debut EP and Premieres First Single

Mutiny, a dynamic ska-punk supergroup boasting talents from bands like Voodoo Glow Skulls, Dissidente, and Death By Stereo, has just announced their eagerly awaited debut EP. The lineup includes saxophonist Eric Fazzini, vocalist Efrem Schulz, vocalist/guitarist Chris Ruckus, trombonist Jose Pazsoldan, drummer Mike Cambra, guitarist Jordan Pepper, and bassist Adam Shah, with additional organ contributions by Esteban Flores of Matamoska and Catbite fame.

Set to release on February 20 via Ska Punk International, the self-titled EP features four original tracks, each also performed in Japanese by members of Japanese bands FRAIL, Shinji, and Ryo. The EP’s first single, “This Is A Eulogy,” addresses the dire state of climate change, envisioning a world where those who could afford it have abandoned Earth for the moon. Chris Ruckus describes it as a song reflecting on the planet’s demise, serving as a poignant eulogy for our home.

Mutiny’s sound is a genre-defying blend, with Schulz noting the unique combination of Voodoo Glow Skulls’ ska influence and Death By Stereo’s hardcore edge. The EP promises an eclectic musical journey with genre flips seamlessly woven into each track.

In addition to the EP release, Mutiny is set to perform at SPI Fest in Windsor, CT, organized by Ska Punk International on May 17-18. The festival lineup includes Catbite, Matamoska, Call Me Malcolm, Hans Gruber and the Die Hards, PWRUP, Mega Infinity, Bumsy and the Moochers, Eevie Echoes & the Locations, and more, with Mutiny joining the stellar roster.

Fans of ska and punk alike can anticipate a thrilling sonic adventure with Mutiny’s debut EP, promising a fusion of diverse musical elements and thought-provoking lyrics.
