Beaumont Music Festival Reveals Fresh Identity and Stellar 2024 Lineup

Embracing a new identity just in time for the 2024 season, the Beaumont Music Festival, previously known as the Beaumont Blues and Roots Music Festival, is set to present an exciting and diverse lineup. Promising a showcase of more Canadian talent than ever before, the festival is gearing up for a spectacular two-day event at Four Seasons Park in Beaumont, Alta., starting on June 21.

Jeremy Kornel, the executive director of the Beaumont Music Festival, shared insights into the evolution of the festival, stating, “It’s been kind of a natural evolution, we’ve really changed from where we started back in 2008 to a very diverse and wide-ranging set of performers, so the name just made more sense as we look to where we’re going to be in five years. It’s been a lot of work over the past two weeks and a lot of thought went into it.”

The rebranded festival will feature an all-Canadian lineup, with a special emphasis on highlighting Canadian female talent on the main stage. The festivities commence with Canadian rockers The Headstones headlining on Friday night, followed by an all-female lineup on Saturday night featuring The Beaches.

The Beaumont Music Festival proudly claims the title of Canada’s longest-running 100 percent all-Canadian music festival. Kornel expressed enthusiasm for the return of The Headstones, stating, “The Headstones are back by popular demand. We had a lot of people asking for them. And on the Friday, we just wanted to build out a full day of great Canadian female talent.”

Among the noteworthy acts set to grace the festival stage are alt-pop-rock singer Begonia, Juno Award-winning rock duo Dear Rouge, and local indie-alternative sensation King of Foxes. Country music will also have its moment with performances by Justin Sutton & North of 49, alongside local musician Martin Kerr.
