ZZ Top Unleashes 2025 ‘Elevation’ Tour: 51 North American Dates Confirmed

ZZ Top Announce Massive 2025 ‘Elevation’ North American Tour
Rock and roll icons ZZ Top are gearing up for another monumental year on the road with the announcement of their 2025 Elevation tour. The 51-date North American leg kicks off on June 1 in Victoria, British Columbia, and is set to wrap up on October 10 in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Known for their unrelenting touring schedule, ZZ Top claimed the title of the most active classic rock band in 2024, outperforming touring heavyweights like Judas Priest, Styx, and Journey with an impressive 99 live shows. Guitarist and frontman Billy Gibbons appears determined to push that number even higher in 2025. He started the year with a 25-date solo run with his side project, the BFGs, followed immediately by 23 ZZ Top shows across North America.
Before launching the Elevation tour, the band will head to Australia and New Zealand for a 12-date tour beginning April 26. Once completed, they’ll return to Canada to begin the next leg of their high-octane journey through North America.
In March, longtime drummer Frank Beard announced he would be stepping away temporarily to focus on undisclosed health matters. In his absence, John Douglas—previously part of the band’s technical crew and a fellow Texan—has taken over drumming duties. Douglas now joins Billy Gibbons and bassist Elwood Francis, who stepped in following the passing of Dusty Hill in 2021. No timeline has been given for Beard’s return.
