WOODHAWK Returns with Explosive New Single “Strangers Ever After” from Upcoming Album “Love Finds A Way”

Canadian stoner rock heavyweights WOODHAWK have officially unveiled their first new material in six years with the release of the single “Strangers Ever After”, lifted from their upcoming third studio album Love Finds A Way, set for release on June 6, 2025 via Grand Hand Records.
Hailing from Calgary, the powerhouse trio—Turner Midzain (guitar/vocals), Mike Badmington (bass), and Kevin Nelson (drums)—have evolved both musically and lyrically since their last acclaimed album, Violent Nature (2019). With Love Finds A Way, the band continues to blend their trademark riff-driven sound with a deeper emotional resonance and refined storytelling.
“Strangers Ever After”: A Dark Farewell
According to the band, “Strangers Ever After” was the first track written for the new record and underwent the most extensive reworking during the creative process. Originally conceived with a much darker tone and different rhythm, the song eventually transformed into its final, emotionally charged form.
“It was way darker at first,” the band explains. “But we kept coming back to it and really loved the result. Strangers Ever After is the kind of demise of a relationship—the farewell to someone that maybe… you were better off never knowing. It’s dark and honest.”
This single not only reaffirms the band’s ability to craft memorable hooks and bone-crushing grooves but also introduces listeners to the rawer, more introspective side of Woodhawk’s songwriting.
A New Chapter for Woodhawk
Love Finds A Way is described by guitarist/vocalist Turner Midzain as “an evolution in our creative journey.” Where the band’s earlier work drew heavily from fantasy and classic metal imagery, the new material dives deeper into personal themes, struggles, and growth. This shift highlights a more vulnerable, authentic side of the band, while still maintaining their fierce dedication to riff-heavy rock.
Fans can expect a blend of high-energy anthems and emotionally resonant tracks throughout the nine-song album. From the thunderous opener “Grave Shaker” to the nearly nine-minute epic closer “Killing Time,” Woodhawk promises a dynamic listening experience that bridges classic rock, stoner metal, and modern hard rock influences.
