The Rolling Stones Win Best Rock Album for Hackney Diamonds at 2025 Grammys

The Rolling Stones have once again etched their name into music history by winning the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album at the 2025 ceremony. Their critically acclaimed album, Hackney Diamonds, triumphed over strong contenders, including The Black Crowes’ Happiness Bastards, Fontaines D.C.’s Romance, Green Day’s Saviors, Idles’ Tangk, Jack White’s No Name, and Pearl Jam’s Dark Matter.
Accepting the prestigious award on behalf of the band was Andrew Watt, the producer behind Hackney Diamonds. During his acceptance speech, Watt shared his appreciation for the opportunity to collaborate with such legendary musicians. “I talked to Mick [Jagger] yesterday, and he just wanted to say a big thank you to the academy from the entire band,” Watt stated. He also expressed his gratitude to the engineers who contributed to the album’s success and took a moment to acknowledge Pearl Jam, as he had also produced their nominated album, Dark Matter.
The Rolling Stones’ victory adds another accolade to their storied career, further cementing their status as one of rock music’s most enduring and influential bands. Their latest triumph follows Paramore’s win in the same category at the 2024 Grammy Awards for their album This Is Why.
As Hackney Diamonds continues to receive acclaim from both critics and fans, the album’s Grammy win stands as a testament to The Rolling Stones’ continued relevance and mastery of the rock genre.
