Sebastian Bach Unveils Music Video for “To Live Again” from Child Within The Man

Sebastian Bach Releases New Video for “To Live Again”

Sebastian Bach, the former lead singer of Skid Row, has unveiled the official music video for “To Live Again,” a standout track from his latest album, Child Within The Man. Released in May 2024 through Reigning Phoenix Music, this marks the seventh video from the album and continues Bach’s collaboration with directors Jim Louvau and Tony Aguilera.

A Powerful Ballad with Deep Emotion

Described by Bach as the closest thing to a ballad on the record, “To Live Again” was co-written with Myles Kennedy, who also contributed to the album’s first single, “What Do I Got to Lose?” Bach expressed immense pride in the song, stating:

“This song is the sound of my voice being pushed as far and as hard as it will go, in every way — power, range, and emotion. If you have enjoyed the ballads I’ve released since 1989, I think you will love this song and video.”

The accompanying video is one of Bach’s most ambitious projects, having taken months to complete. He describes it as a visual representation of recurring dreams he has had over the past year, now brought to life through stunning cinematography.

Artistic and Live Performance Endeavors

In addition to his music, Bach is expanding his creative portfolio with his first-ever art show, in collaboration with Wentworth Gallery. This exhibition, inspired by his late father, renowned artist David Bierk, will be showcased during the Monsters of Rock cruise from March 10-15, 2025.

On the touring front, Bach is scheduled to headline the M3 Rock Festival in May, followed by a performance at Summerfest. 2024 was a milestone year for the rock icon, featuring an extensive tour of 91 performances, including two North American legs and international shows leading up to the album’s release.

Critical Acclaim for Child Within The Man

Child Within The Man, Bach’s first studio album in over a decade, has been met with widespread praise. The Associated Press lauded it as a showcase of a performer “in prime fighting form,” while Ultimate Classic Rock commended Bach’s vocal prowess, stating that his voice “has lost none of its rage or range.”

Among the album’s highlights, “(Hold On) To The Dream” was recognized by Consequence as one of the “30 Best Metal & Hard Rock Songs of 2024,” describing it as “a late-career masterpiece” featuring some of the highest notes of Bach’s career.

A Deeply Personal Album

Child Within The Man was recorded in Orlando, Florida, and produced by Michael “Elvis” Baskette. The album features contributions from renowned musicians such as John 5 (MÖTLEY CRÜE, ROB ZOMBIE), Steve Stevens (BILLY IDOL), and Orianthi (ALICE COOPER, MICHAEL JACKSON). Bach co-wrote all 11 tracks, including two collaborations with Myles Kennedy.

The album’s cover art holds special meaning for Bach, as it was created by his late father, David Bierk. The artwork features a young Bach running alongside a beat-up Cadillac with an image of Jesus ascending in the background—an image that he recalls from his childhood. It also incorporates a large painting of Bach on stage at Giants Stadium, reflecting the transition from his youthful dreams to his career as a rock star.

A Decade in the Making

Bach’s last full-length album, Give ‘Em Hell, was released in 2014. Child Within The Man represents over a decade of artistic dedication, and Bach has expressed immense gratitude to fans who have supported the project:

“I cannot thank you all enough for the support on this project, which has consumed my life for over a decade. For those devastated by the California wildfires and the courageous first responders, ‘To Live Again’ carries the sentiment that even if you lose everything, if you still have your family, that is what truly matters. Make art at all costs. That’s what we do. The show must go on. There is no other option.”

While “To Live Again” is the final full concept video from the album, Bach hints at one more surprise video release later in the year.

With Child Within The Man, Sebastian Bach continues to prove why he remains one of rock’s most dynamic and enduring voices. From chart-topping singles to powerful live performances, Bach’s relentless energy and passion for music show no signs of slowing down.
