Linkin Park Declares Upcoming Single “Up from the Bottom” as Their Best Song Yet

After more than six years of silence, Linkin Park made a triumphant return in late 2024, not only launching a new album but also ushering in an entirely new chapter for the band. Following the tragic passing of lead vocalist Chester Bennington, the group’s future remained uncertain for years. However, with the addition of new singer Emily Armstrong, the Grammy-winning rock band found its way back to the spotlight.

Fans are still relishing the success of their comeback album From Zero, released in November 2024. Despite the album’s relatively recent debut, new music is already on the horizon. During a red-carpet interview at the iHeartRadio Awards, Linkin Park unveiled details about their next single, “Up from the Bottom,” which is set to be released on Thursday, March 27, 2025.

Speaking with Billboard, longtime band member Joe Hahn expressed his enthusiasm for the track, stating, “In my opinion, it’s the best song we’ve ever made.” Fellow bandmate Mike Shinoda echoed that sentiment, adding, “It’s one of the best videos we’ve ever had.”

While it remains unclear how “Up from the Bottom” fits into Linkin Park’s broader release strategy, speculation is already swirling. The track could serve as a standalone release, or it might be the first glimpse of a deluxe edition of From Zero. With promotion for their comeback album gradually winding down, this new song may be a strategic move to reignite excitement among fans.

Linkin Park’s resurgence has been met with commercial success, as multiple songs from From Zero continue to chart on Billboard, including hits like “The Emptiness Machine” and “Heavy as the Crown.” Both tracks have dominated the hard rock rankings, cementing the band’s place in the modern rock landscape.

There is also the possibility that “Up from the Bottom” could mark the beginning of an entirely new album cycle. While it may seem early for another full-length release, the band could be eager to sustain their renewed momentum and capitalize on their long-awaited comeback. Given the overwhelming response to their return, it would not be surprising if Linkin Park is already laying the groundwork for their next big project.

Regardless of its ultimate purpose, “Up from the Bottom” is already generating considerable buzz. With high praise from the band members themselves, anticipation is at an all-time high as fans eagerly await what could be Linkin Park’s most powerful release yet.
