KRATORNAS Unveils “Ravaged by Hurakaan” Vinyl and Cassette Demo Ahead of New Album “God of the Tribes”

KRATORNAS Announces Special Demo Releases Ahead of Upcoming Album “God of the Tribes”

Saskatoon’s KRATORNAS has announced two exclusive physical releases this May — a 7-inch vinyl demo and a cassette remix — as a prelude to their forthcoming full-length album God of the Tribes, which is scheduled for release on August 20, 2025, through Grathila Records.

The 7″ vinyl demo, arriving on May 20th, 2025, features the track “Ravaged by Hurakaan” on Side A, a rough mix of the song that will appear as track #3 on the upcoming album. Side B includes a unique “Drum and Bass” instrumental version of the same track. Notably, this vinyl edition will be unavailable in digital format, emphasizing its value as a collector’s item.

Shortly after, on May 30th, 2025, KRATORNAS will issue a cassette release entitled KRATORNAS – Ravaged by Hurakaan (QUE DIABLO Remix). This remix edition features DJ Amoraz and includes both new and archival tracks spanning over a decade of the band’s evolution.

Mastermind Bruno Zamora shared his perspective on the new material:

“This album marks a turning point for KRATORNAS. Not because it tries to be ‘different’ but because it couldn’t have come out any other way. Every part of this release came together naturally. The sound, the pacing, the tension… it wrote itself, shaped by instinct and intention. This album is unlike the usual Kratornas, so anyone expecting it to sound like ‘early Kratornas’ will be disappointed.”

God of the Tribes promises a departure from the band’s trademark hyper-aggressive black metal style. The new material emphasizes atmosphere, tension, and dynamic pacing over relentless speed. The album also showcases an expanded sonic palette, including the use of 7-string guitars for the left and right channels, a 6-string fretless bass, and more nuanced production choices — all mastered by Dan Swanö (Edge of Sanity).
