KESHA PRAYING POP GOT A LITTLE ROCK N ROLL
OK I AM GOING TO SAY IT OUT LOUD
“I REALLY NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD LIKE A KESHA SONG”
Kesha has returned after a 4-year break and it seems like she has reinvented herself. Her new track & Video Praying is her first release from an upcoming album Rainbow.
This up til now VERY POPPY assembled for mass-marketing signer has presented a heartfelt real song.
I now find myself WANTING to know more about Kesha as a result of listening to Praying. I am curious what has happened in her life that has changed this I am drunken, bla, bla, bla, oops I fell on the dance-floor for ratings kinda POP thing into a more mature real-sounding artist?
Rainbow marks a new beginning for Kesha, as she achieves her vision for the album by enlisting a roster of collaborators ranging from Eagles of Death Metal to Dolly Parton. Ben Folds produced the title track with Kesha, while Ricky Reed produced and wrote on numerous tracks as well. Wrabel co-wrote a collaboration that features the Dap-Kings horn section. Eagles of Death Metal are featured on two tracks, while Parton guests on a version of her 1980 country chart-topper Old Flames Can’t Hold A Candle To You. The track was co-written by Kesha’s mother Pebe Sebert, who also has other songwriting credits on Rainbow.
Kesha’s debut album, Animal, sold more than eight million albums worldwide and she has had nine Top 10 hits on The Billboard Hot 100, including four No 1 singles at Top 40 Radio: TiK ToK, Your Love Is My Drug, Die Young, and Timber. As a songwriter, she has penned her own music as well as songs for artists including Britney Spears, Ariana Grande, The Veronicas, and Miley Cyrus.
Rainbow will be released on 11 August on Kemosabe Records/RCA Records and is available for pre-order now. Find out more at keshaofficial.com
