// Suitcase Sam
Little is known about the mysterious Suitcase Sam other than he is one of the hardest working singer/songwriters in Canada, playing shows from the east to the west coast, southern USA, New York City, and even Haiti. A musical vagabond with a deep connection to early 20th century styles, the sound of Suitcase Sam is steeped in the tradition of Country, Folk-Jazz, Bluegrass and the Blues. Suitcase Sam’s first, full length LP, Goodnight Riverdale Park, is to be released in early 2019. His debut EP, Get it to Go, released on Pleasence records, makes the small guy sound big with a comforting warmth. Backed with a full band, Suitcase Sam’s dynamic, live show is a musical time machine to yester-year.
// Ada Dahli
Hailing from South Western Ontario, land of cornfields and Uncle Tom’s cabin, Ada has spent most of the last five years driving for the recently departed and distilling her days down into song. It was while living in the funeral parlour that Ada began to write and play music as a way to stave off isolation and the monotony of suburbia, as a way to confront and mingle with solitude. Falling seamlessly into the Americana folk-noir genre, Ada Dahli’s vocals are the crowning feature of her performance – singing with more dynamics, emotion and intensity than just about anyone you’ve ever heard.
