Noam Lemish Trio + Mike Murley at Jazz Bistro

Multiple Juno award winning saxophonist Mike Murley joins the Noam Lemish Trio in concert at Toronto’s Jazz Bistro – presenting an evening of compelling music made up of Lemish’s lyrical and energetic original compositions. The trio features Noam Lemish on piano, Andrew Downing on bass and Derek Gray on drums.

Toronto’s Jazz Bistro continues the legacy of the famed Top O’The Senator and since opening its doors a few years ago has quickly established itself as one of Toronto’s finest live music venues.
Noam Lemish is an Israeli-American jazz pianist and composer currently based out of Toronto, Canada. He has appeared in numerous performances across the US, Canada, Europe, Israel, and in Bhutan having played and performed with such musicians as: Sheila Jordan, John Handy, Julian Lage, James Newton, Dayna Stephens, George Marsh, Frances-Marie Uitti, and many others. He has several recordings to his credit, including most recently Pardes (2018), Sonic Truffles (2018) and The Turning (2016). His compositions include numerous jazz works, chamber, choral, piano, and “The People’s King”: a commissioned multi-cultural suite in celebration the King of Bhutan’s 30th birthday composed while teaching music in the Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan in 2010. Dr. Lemish is currently teaching at the University of Toronto’s jazz studies program and co-directs the Israeli-Iranian Musical Initiative. www.noamlemish.com
