// Ian Bell & Banjogoboom
Ian Bell has performed a mix of original and traditional songs across the US and Canada since the late 1970s. He has appeared at numerous folk festivals (even the Viljandi Folk Festival in Estonia!) and in venues ranging from The Lincoln Center to the finest Ontario barns, and has appeared frequently on radio and TV. His latest CD, “Saturday Night in Villa Nova” is a collection of songs and stories recorded live at The Crooked Stovepipe, a folklore hub and interactive museum located in sunny Villa Nova in southern Ontario. At this event, Ian will share the bill with BanjoGoBoom! a five piece Toronto-based acoustic ensemble that plays “dynamite” original music. John Glover (guitar), Dave Harvey (bass), Kate Murphy (banjo), Bob Birnie (mandolin), and Neil Affleck (harmonica) have over two centuries of collective performing experience! The band is currently recording their debut CD, “Unlucky in Love.” Both Kate and John have performed with Ian so it’s natural that you can look forward to Ian and BGB performing some tunes together.
