‘BRINGING THE LOVE’
Violet Fond (aka Harmony Throwbridge) is bringing together this cross disciplinary evening of entertainment that celebrates women who perform. Storytelling, Comedy & Music. Like a box of assorted heart shaped chocolates; exciting and mysterious, a total treat, but without the last minute drug store card full of mawkish words. Brought to you with love.
// VIOLET FOND
Violet Fond (aka Harmony Trowbridge) is an art-folk-pop singer-songwriter, producer, and theatre artist who calls both Vancouver and Toronto home. Her two musical releases so far, the Amoraphobe EP (2005) and The More We Get Together (2010) gathered critical acclaim as complex, poetic auditory oddities, and saw her tour across Canada to beloved venues and festivals such as Pop Montreal, NXNE, the Ottawa Folk Festival, The Black Sheep Inn, The Arts Club, and her personal favourite, as a member of touring production of The Vinyl Cafe with Stuart McLean. Her next studio album will be released in the fall of 2019.
// ANNA GUSTAFSON
Anna Gustafson is a comedian from the tiny coastal BC town of Lund and now makes her home in Canada’s largest city, Toronto. Her material comes from all the places in between. As a touring professional comic for 15 years, she has appeared on Montreal’s Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, CBC’s Comics!, The George Stroumboulopoulos Show, Cracking Up The Capital Comedy Festival, Laugh Out Loud on CBC, CBC’s Madly Off In All Directions, The Debaters on CBC, YYComedy Festival, and has spoken at TEDx. Anna co-founded a women’s comedy festival, produces the YYComedy Festival in Calgary, is the Resident Comedian at Gilda’s Club Toronto and heads up Firecracker Comedy Department.
