David Lee Roth Announces 2025 Summer Tour Following Triumphant Return to the Stage

David Lee Roth, iconic former frontman of Van Halen, has officially unveiled a full schedule of tour dates for summer 2025. The announcement follows his first public performance in five years, which took place over the weekend at the M3 Festival, where he delivered a high-energy set filled with Van Halen classics.

The tour is set to begin on July 22 in Paso Robles, California, and will include 21 performances across the United States, ending on September 14 in Napa, California. Roth had previously announced a single concert for September 12 in Saratoga, California, which is now part of this broader tour schedule.

At the M3 Festival, Roth made a dramatic return to live music, performing 16 classic Van Halen tracks backed by an expanded band. His live ensemble included guitarist Al Estrada, bassist Ryan Wheeler, drummer Francis Valentino, a keyboardist, and a four-piece backing vocal group, enriching the sound of his already energetic show.

This marked Roth’s first live appearance since March 2020, when he opened for Kiss just before the COVID-19 pandemic halted touring. In late 2021, he declared his retirement from performing, shortly before a planned Las Vegas residency was due to begin.

During his M3 Festival set, Roth addressed his long absence with humor:
“We’ve reached the end of my first retirement,” he said, drawing laughter from the crowd. “How many retirements did Rocky have, nine?”

With renewed vigor and a clear passion for performing, Roth appears ready to reestablish himself as a force on stage. Fans can find information about ticket sales and show details on his official website.
