0STELLA NEW VIDEO FOR GLITTER ON THE DANCEFLOOR

0Stella reveals sexy, shimmering new music video | 25 February 2022

Having been featured on CBC, and X92 FM, Edmonton-based Irish-Canadian rocker 0Stella is back with her debut LP Freefall, produced by Devon Lougheed of Skye Wallace and Altered By Mom. The music video for her first single, ‘Glitter On The Dancefloor’ (Dead Doll Records) dropped yesterday 25th February and it’s a bright spot in the crazy world we live in.

The catchy pop melodies with oft-politically charged lyrics, 0Stella draws influence from Garbage, PJ Harvey, and The Frames. Often compared to Paramore and The Beaches, she has shared stages with Skye Wallace, Goodnight, Sunrise, and Heather Valley

“I made the music video for Callistan’s remix of Fire with my phone last year. I was working on a video for Glitter when a 30-second clip of this shimmering beauty arrived in my inbox. A fan had taken it upon themselves to make one and was asking my permission to continue. Robin Fyfe created an utter beauty and I am so grateful for this unexpected gem.”

0Stella’s usual alt-rock Irish fusion has sidestepped and landed with an infectious mix between Alternative Rock and Top 40 for this track. Written with Juno nominated producer Brad Simons, 0Stella brought the track to Devon Lougheed in January 2021. The two embarked on a year-long long-distance recording session between Edmonton and Toronto to create two concept albums, Freefall (2022) and Skyward (2023).

As a zero-waste advocate (hence the zero in her name) 0Stella will embark on a one-woman Canada-wide cycling album tour this April. A combination of pop-up patio shows and house concerts will bring music and a sense of community back into people’s lives. All the details of the tour including a crowdfunding campaign and map of the route can be found at 0Stella.com.
